The Great Gamble: A Classics Retold Romance
Daisy and Jay got a second chance, so why not Nick and Jordan?
It's been seven years since Nick unceremoniously dumped Jordan out of the blue before running from New York City back to his hometown of Chicago after Jay Gatsby's death. His life has been on the upswing since he left, and now he's a somewhat famous author about to embark on his first book tour. Jordan's life, however, hit rock bottom shortly after they broke up, and now she's serving coffee instead of tearing up the golf course.
When they reconnect at Daisy and Tom's house for Pamela's tenth birthday party, they find the physical spark is still there. After a wild night of passion, Jordan finally feels like she has closure on this chapter of her life and can leave Nick in the past where he belongs. Nick, however, believes this is the beginning to a second chance with Jordan. He just has to convince her to give it to him (on his knees is a good start).
A road trip full of forced proximity, banter, heart-to-heart conversations, feline antics, and an unexpected one hotel room situation just might be the way to win her back and earn a place in her heart for good.
The Great Gamble is a spicy, romance retelling of The Great Gatsby, intended for readers ages 18+.
