About Us

Chapter & Hearth Booksellers is a warm, independent bookstore located in the Collinsville Plaza in Henry County, Virginia. Nestled between Cocoa Trails Chocolates and Donut World, and directly across from the Collinsville Post Office, we opened our doors with a passion for connecting readers with stories that inspire, comfort, and delight.

From beautifully curated displays of timeless classics and cozy mysteries to vibrant faith and inspiration sections, children’s books, and exciting new arrivals, our cozy shop feels like a literary hearth where everyone is welcome to browse, linger, and discover.

We believe in the power of independent bookstores to build community — one book, one conversation, and one heartfelt recommendation at a time. Whether you’re a lifelong reader or simply looking for your next favorite story, we invite you to come in, pull up a chair, and make yourself at home.

Owned and operated by
Ed Williams, a lifelong booklover with a deep passion for storytelling and community, Chapter & Hearth Booksellers was born from Ed’s longtime dream of creating a true literary hearth right here in Henry County. With years of cherished memories spent surrounded by books, Ed envisioned a welcoming space where neighbors could gather, browse beautiful shelves, and leave with more than just a book — but with a sense of connection and joy. Today, he pours that same passion into every corner of the shop, personally curating selections and welcoming each visitor like an old friend.

Stop by and say hello — we’d love to help you find your next great read.
